Cypher
A series of printing plates, inspired by ancient writings, brings a brand new alphabet to life. These 22 symbols were created by a group of Arab and Jewish designers and typographers, following an exploration of the formative essences of Hebrew and Arabic scripts, as well as their typographical similarities. Returning to the two languages’ mutual Phonecian past is an attempt to discover a basis for a new tongue, a chance for future intercultural dialogue that will allow for discourse in the post-flood world.
