Yuval Buchshtab responds to the work of his late brother, Yagev Buchshtav.

Yagev Buchshtav was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nirim on Oct 7th. After months of hardship, Yagev was killed in Hamas captivity. In life, a passion for sonic exploration led Yagev to construct a series of experimental instruments – built of electronic circuits, sensors and objects he collected.
Music was a major part of his life, carrying him through the hardest of times. This project voices Yagev’s sounds that were violently halted.
After the family received news of Yagev’s death, his younger brother Yuval returned to the workshop to complete an unfinished instrument left behind.
Yagev’s tone will play on, in his memory.
