Adam
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2, 7, KJV)
Dust and spirit, two pillars of our most basic humanity, are also the most easily forgotten. A cello is often described as being the instrument nearest to the human voice, while the clay vase, similarly to the biblical man, is an earthen vessel filled with a breath of air. ‘Adam’ was created to remind us of our humanity, by combining 4 unique yet similar ‘human’ voices into one grand creation.
