Sensometer
What is 25 degrees?
GA studio’s measurement device offers a return to human weather observation via simple sensory awareness – a glance at the sky, contact with the earth, and attention to the winds enveloping our body. The absolute data we tend to call “weather” is a result of extensive information processing, which converts findings into numbers and words, dampening the otherwise colorful sensory spectrum.
This body of work aims to sharpen senses as well as the mental capacity to evaluate sensory information in every inch of our bodies, associating between a person and their external surroundings.
Weather estimation is executed by activating basic instincts and paying close attention – the findings are not empirical and absolute here, but rather senses from a wide, varied spectrum.
Here, you are the measurement device.
