Who is at the reins of control and global order in our age, in which the borders between mega-corporations and political entities have blurred? Throughout history, maps have served leaders and rulers as a tool that both communicates unity among their subjects and maps out any threats to the empire.
‘World Map 2023’ is an infographic, subjective mapping project that exhibits the tech giants’ growing control within the economic market. This map surveys the history of tech corporations, as they make purchases and investments, slowly gaining control over various economic territories. From within this view appears a momentary report of struggles taking place in ever-changing arenas.
