Apollo 1:1
The Apollo 11 moon landing was every bit as much a defining event on a cultural, cinematic level, as it was scientifically and technologically. While technology enabled humanity to fulfill its age-old fantasy and conquer the moon, it concurrently raised speculation as to the authenticity of the landing, following the images produced by the event. Using cinematic scenery, this work imagines the search after a new future for humans as an illusionary process, and offers to return the moon to the imaginary realm, deliberately through falsification.
