Dojo: Analog Risograph Postcard Print Workshop
24.9, Tuesday
10:30, 13:30
11 Bezalel st., library building, 4th floor
Sending a postcard is an act of optimism. You have faith that it will indeed arrive at its destination, carrying good tidings – not unlike the biblical olive branch. It is in this spirit that we express faith in the future, using ink and paper, diving into a creative moment of exploration and experimentation.
The Dojo is proud to take part in JDW and invites visitors to participate in a Riso postcard workshop. The Risograph is a unique Japanese printer that uses bright, glowing ink in separate layers, similarly to the silkscreen printing technique.
This workshop will give participants practical experience with the Risograph, using mixed techniques, combining drawing and collage to create colorful postcards for all to take home and send off.
The workshops will be led by artist Shlomit Strutti, and are suitable for all ages and all levels of experience.

Coast to Coast — Daily cultural excursions traveling between Hansen House and points all around Jerusalem
JDW 2024 revolves around the theme of “the ark”, choosing to look out from upon the deck and gaze off into the horizon. Jerusalem’s red bus will set sail daily, traveling between unique events at a wide range of cultural venues across town, and connecting them to the central design event at Hansen House. This year, JDW is launching a series of events that link the city’s varied cultural institutions to the festival’s content – unique tours, workshops, family-oriented events, encounters with artists and designers, musical events, and more.
