Mamuta Art and Research Center: Gallery Talk with Curator and Researcher Judith Lenglart
20.9, Friday
12:00
Hansen House, 14 Gdalyahu Alon St, Jerusalem
The group exhibition "With Blind Steps" presents works from the 1970s, a decade during which performance art, body art, and video art first appeared in Israel. The artists who experimented with these mediums explored new ways of connecting with space, time, and the performativity of memory by bringing the past into the present. The works in the exhibition reflect a confrontation between addressing shared traumas and questions of identity and gender, while also showcasing the artists' personal experiences.

Coast to Coast — Daily cultural excursions traveling between Hansen House and points all around Jerusalem
JDW 2024 revolves around the theme of “the ark”, choosing to look out from upon the deck and gaze off into the horizon. Jerusalem’s red bus will set sail daily, traveling between unique events at a wide range of cultural venues across town, and connecting them to the central design event at Hansen House. This year, JDW is launching a series of events that link the city’s varied cultural institutions to the festival’s content – unique tours, workshops, family-oriented events, encounters with artists and designers, musical events, and more.
